Pavo Heart Game: Monday Session
When you enter the light, you find yourself hovering weightless in a void, as if caught in a moment of falling inertia. In the distance, you hear a voice that seems to shift and twist, familiar and yet unfamiliar.
"You shouldn't be here. But since you already are, let's make a wager. If you can uncover the truth, you'll find me. If you can't, you may be hopelessly lost... What a shame that would be."
You begin falling, and your vision blacks out--
[OOC NOTE: your goals are "reveal the truth" to "find the true heart". All images in toplevels are for general inspo, please make sure you read the flavourtext cause things are not exactly as they are in the images.]

Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[Big Pavo seems totally content with this scenario. He's happy. Noctua is quieter, but also visibly happy in his Noctua way. He nods in acknowledgement, and immediately starts pouring a drink.]
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[ Plopping onto a bar stool, beckoning tiny Pavo over if he seems hesitant at all ]
Perhaps a grape juice for the little one?
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[mutters Noctua, passing Venti his drink. Without asking at all, he just poured exactly the drink you'd expect in Pavo's heart: Death After Noon. But he'll get a cider for the baby, who is awkwardly climbing onto the third stool.
Pavo leans on the bar, all smiles, a little tipsy and perfectly blissful.]
There's no such thing as too much fun.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
But it is extremely alcoholic, so that's fine. He knocks it back without batting an eyelash ]
That's exactly what I would expect to hear from the Cavalry Captain! It does seem like you've been at it for a while . . .
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
When you drink it, you'll find it makes you feel comfortable, a little happy. Despite the fact that it tastes strong, it's a mild effect and quite pleasant.]
I'm a lucky piece, to get to laze around in the tavern all the time, no?
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
An enviable job just about anywhere, to be sure! And yet, I wonder what greater meaning there is behind it?
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[Pavo is... Pavo. Noctua sighs and pours more drinks.]
It's people.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[ Leaning in close to peer at him, as if answers will be written on his face. ]
. . . Are you Pavo's social life?
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
We're relationships. This whole place is. And Noctua here is love itself. So of course you're welcome to enjoy yourself as long as you like.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
And he bursts out laughing. ]
Oh my! How adorable!
What happens if one were to spoil your concept of love itself, I wonder.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[Pavo leans on the bar, watching you laugh. Noctua is turning quite red.]
...
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
Chuuuuuuuuu ]
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
...You're being too cute.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[ Turning his predatory gaze on Pavo now, still seated on the bar ]
Hmmmmm . . . ♪
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[Pavo glances back at him, smirking, and sips his drink.
Noctua reaches over and pinches his cheek.]
Get your lock and get out of my bar before you cause "me" real trouble, you shameless bard.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[ Wriggling out of Noctua's grip so he can lean forward and give Pavo a forehead chu ]
I don't intend to leave anyone out!
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
How sweet of you. And will you be taking that child with you?
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[ Turning to tiny Pavo ]
C'mon, I bet you can bring your drink with you.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[Noctua mutters, gesturing off towards the corner. Tiny Pavo slides off the bar stool obediently, watching Venti and waiting to see what he'll do.]
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
Now it's ELEMENTAL SIGHT time, baby. ]
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
All the frames on the walls have been turned backwards.
Noctua is cleaning the glasses behind a bar at which slumps a silent Pavo, with a greatsword through his chest. The only colour in the room is the blood spilling over the bar and his seat and pooling on the floor.
You're alone, now, except for Noctua's sharp eyes.]
Did you have to look?
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
Of course I did.
"You" told us to take a closer look for a reason, don't you think?
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[Noctua doesn't seem impressed though.... Just a little sad.]
Still, there are parts of "me" that really ought to be private.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
But sometimes secrets kept can be wounds left to fester unnecessarily.
Re: ANGEL'S SHARE
[Noctua remains impassive, setting down the clean glass in its proper place and picking up another from the bar. There's blood on the underside, and that on the bar pools into the space left by the glass.]
