Pavo Heart Game: Noctua's Grand Adventure

When you enter the light, you find yourself hovering weightless in a void, as if caught in a moment of falling inertia. In the distance, you hear a voice that seems to shift and twist, familiar and yet unfamiliar.

"You shouldn't be here. But since you already are, let's make a wager. If you can uncover the truth, you'll find me. If you can't, you may be hopelessly lost... What a shame that would be."

You begin falling, and your vision blacks out--

[Your clone quietly turns around to rearrange the shelves rather than look at that face.]

...Don't you already know that much about "me"? At that time... because I couldn't be good to you the way you needed, and because I couldn't stand to lie to you anymore, I needed to lose you. All those complications... All these conflicting feelings...

[He sighs, a bit.]

[He can't exactly promise that! He's not the whole Pavo, after all. But he hears it, and gently kisses your forehead.]

Go unlock that door, Noctua. "I" am waiting for you.

[...presses a kiss to his clone's cheek and pulls away, wiping at his tears.]

Be careful. Don't put yourself through anything you don't have to.

[He lets go, but stays there on the floor for the moment. He'll get up when he's done processing.]

[offers him a hand up.]

I will.

[...well. Okay. He'll get up then!]

There's only two more.

[back to! the hall!]

[You return to the hall! All you have left now is the blue door, and upstairs.]
