Pavo Heart Game: Sunday Session

When you enter the light, you find yourself hovering weightless in a void, as if caught in a moment of falling inertia. In the distance, you hear a voice that seems to shift and twist, familiar and yet unfamiliar.

"You shouldn't be here. But since you already are, let's make a wager. If you can uncover the truth, you'll find me. If you can't, you may be hopelessly lost... What a shame that would be."

You begin falling, and your vision blacks out--

[Inside the box is... your vision, as you may have anticipated. There's also an oddly shaped tile bearing a map of Monoceros Caeli. On the back a message is written in a slightly blocky, runic handwriting:

The elements know the truth of this world.]

I have to say, you vision bearers sure are lucky. Fighting aside, Elemental Sight makes life a lot easier.

Speaking of which... There's something I think you could help me with, if you don't mind.

[ removes his vision from the box and affixes it to his belt, taking out the tile next and reading over the message scrawled on it. ]

And what could you possibly need help with? [ he shuts the box and offers it back to the guy, because he's not interested in carrying it around for the duration of this. ]

Sorry, I can't take that back. It's yours, now.

But, uh... This switch over here won't turn on. Without it, we can't open the front door, so...

[He walks away a few steps, gesturing at a small, round plate on the wall. Around it are seven elemental symbols, and in the center is a light that's currently dark.]

[ follows him over and examines the mechanism. ] Hm. Mind taking a step back? [ going to summon one of his hydro blades and slash at it to see if he can, perhaps, activate the hydro elemental symbol affixed to the door. ]

[The symbol lights up, and the light turns on! Near the sealed exit, you hear a click.]

Wow, thank you so much! I think there are more locks, though... If you're going to wander, can you keep an eye out?

[ nods. ] Mm, of course, I think I know how we'll be opening this door... [ he's going to activate his elemental sight as he heads toward red, rattling door because that one has caught his interest. ]

[With Elemental Sight, the state of the room seems to change a bit. There are a few cracks in the walls and floor, and you can hear a distant, strained creaking like a tree branch close to snapping. Elemental trails lead faintly to all the exits.]
